Nintendo will follow SEGA and no longer make consoles. Instead they will focus on cross platform games.

Bullshit

Kids are playing more and more “CASUAL” games on mobile phones and tablets and NOT on consoles. Nintendo hasn’t made a great system since…

People always say that about Wii that it’s a ‘Casual System’ and ‘Hardcore Gamers’ are all on Playstation and Xbox.  But really aren’t you the single most hardcore gamer if you own an entire system for one Zelda, three Marios and maybe like 4 worthy 3rd party titles?

No that just makes that person a hardcore Nintendo fan. I didn’t buy a PS3 because there werent enough great games that were exclusive to it. Everything I wanted I could get on XBOX 360.

Skyrim, Mass Effect, Fallout, GTA, Modern Warfare, etc… these are the franchises that are pushing gaming forward. Nintendo is stuck in the past. I would love to see an “open world” mario or zelda. I would love to see modern looking versions of all these amazing classic games. But Nintendo’s hardware is sooo far behind. Just like JRPGs, they are getting REALLY out of touch with Western audiences. I remember a time when the BEST RPG’s came out of Japan. But they got way to stuck in catering to the cosplaying aspect rather than the storytelling.

I would much rather see Nintendo making new great games and reboot the classics for multiple systems.
